Client Services | Who do I see and what do I offer?

I provide counselling, psychotherapy and psychological assessments in English, to clients 4 years of age and older. I do not have an upper age limit.

I offer both brief (supportive) psychotherapy and long-term psychotherapy to my clients. In a safe and contained environment, my client, in collaboration with me, can explore their inner conflicts, relationships, past traumas and present challenges. I do not apply a specific therapeutic stance when seeing clients; instead I prefer to tailor my therapeutic interventions according to the unique characteristics of each of my clients and their presenting issues.

My goal is to enhance my clients’ understanding of themselves, their relationships and their external surroundings, so that they may grow and attain a sense of personal well-being, and achieve more satisfying relationships with others.

I see clients for a variety of concerns, which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Fees

Each session is approximately 55 minutes in duration. However, there may be times when the session may be longer or shorter. In such cases, fees will be calculated accordingly.

Consultation fees are charged as follows:

Medical Aid Payments

My fees are closely aligned with standard medical aid rates; however, if you are unsure about whether or not your particular medical aid plan covers mental health care services, please contact your Medical Aid to enquire.

Cash Payments

Reduced rates are offered to non-medical aid clients who wish to settle payment via cash, debit card, or credit card. In most cases, clients will be required to make payment at each appointment and will be given a receipt. The client can then submit this receipt to their Medical Aid, should they have one, for reimbursement (please enquire from your Medical Aid for details).

Cancellations

A 24 hour advance notice is required for the cancellation of an appointment. If this is not adhered too, the client will be charged for the session, unless we both agree that the client was unable to attend the appointment, due to circumstances beyond their control. If it is possible, I will try to find another time to reschedule the appointment.

For current fee rates and any other queries pertaining to fee and payment issues please feel free to contact me.

How to access the services I provide

Potential clients do not require a referral from their General Practitioner (GP) to schedule an appointment. Self-referrals are accepted as well as referrals from other healthcare providers, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, physicians, audiologists, etc.

For professional referrals, you may use a form of your own or, if you wish, you may use the one I have provided:
